1decision are proud to have been a part of the North Hertfordshire College campaign 100 Apprenticeships in 100 Days.
In January, the college set local businesses the task to provide apprenticeship employment to young people. Hayley Sherwood, the director of 1decision and Eleanor Austin, Digital Media Apprentice were chosen to feature in an article about the campaign on the NHC’s website.
“I applaud the thought and hard work that has gone into producing this very relevant and comprehensive resource. The videos, associated activities, and high production values make this a ‘must have’ resource for use in schools to support the teaching of being safe within a comprehensive PSHE programme. I particularly like the innovative alternative ending to the video stories which will clearly make children think about their own and others’ behaviour.
Today we have seen the release of the House of Commons Education Committee’s report on PSHE and SRE in schools.
“Children and young people will only benefit from an increase in PSHE and SRE lessons. We at 1decision fully support the findings of this report. This is a great step towards PSHE becoming statutory within the curriculum.”

Everyone loves a good story and children are natural storytellers so why not capitalise on that as an interesting way to teach many of the areas in PSHE?

On Wednesday 25th March, pupils of Almond Hill Primary School in Stevenage picked the three lucky winners.
The 1decision team have recently paired up with Stevenage Fire Service to create a new module for primary school students. The new module will look at Hoax Calling, Texting Whilst Driving, Petty Arson and Safety in the Home. Hayley Sherwood, managing director of 1decision shares her thoughts on the project…
“We wanted to work with the fire service to try and reduce incidents which they have to deal with on a daily basis. The fire service were fantastic to work with, their clear passion for keeping people safe cannot be understated and they are willing to do anything to benefit our community”.
We will soon be introducing a new module to our PSHE programme, titled ‘Understanding Feelings and Emotions’. The new module will look at how children deal with Anger, Jealousy, Worry and Loss.
The 1decision team are extremely proud of all our actors who have taken part in filming over the last week, they have all worked extremely hard.
