Focused on

Prevention Not Cure

Our dedicated team at 1decision work hard to provide life-changing resources for children, which are focused on prevention, not cure.

We create interactive PSHE resources for primary children. As part of the media generation, we know how important it is to engage and teach from a young age. Since 2015, our popular resources and modules help teachers and pupils alike navigate through interactive content that's suitable for all learning styles. Each module is carefully created by PSHE and Safeguarding experts together with schools and, most importantly, children. We are proud to offer resources to over 2,000 schools in 47 UK counties and across the world.

Hi I’m Hayley Sherwood

"Millions of pounds are spent each year training adults to recognise safeguarding concerns among children. My own childhood experiences and countless life stories from others prove that this is still not enough. Our society also reminds us that PSHE needs to improve. Social issues such as violence, drugs, crime and obesity continue to dominate the world around us. For many years I worked in the secondary sector managing highly successful mentoring and prevention programmes.

I came to realise that earlier intervention is vital in triggering a bigger impact on society. Society is fixated on finding the cure for our problems because we can see results; when a situation appears to be solved. We must stop searching for the cure and instead realise that prevention is the key. It is essential that we give young children the confidence to speak out together with the knowledge and the skills that they need to make safe and positive choices throughout their lives. For the last seven years, I have studied and worked with leading consultants, organisations and schools to develop the most advanced resources for the subject of PSHE."

What the stats say!

Statistics show that at least 65% of children born in the last century are predominantly visual learners (Visual Teaching Alliance, 2018) because of their significant exposure to technology. Therefore, it’s essential that education provides a curriculum suited to their needs. 1decision is suited to all learning styles and offers a unique learning experience through interactive videos and games. Together with activity workbooks and teaching manuals, 1decision stands out above the rest

The 1decision Vision

In an ideal world, children would arrive at school socially developed and ready to learn, but this is not always the case. High-quality life-skills’ education is essential for all students to reach their full potential. 1decision provides an interactive bank of resources that support PSHE, RSE, Health Education, SMSC Development, as well as Safeguarding and much more.

Mapped to the PSHE Association’s Programme of Study, our resources help children learn the skills to manage different influences and pressures in their personal development. Our unique suite of resources helps pupils test-run and experience challenging situations in a safe environment.

During their time at primary school, children will encounter many of life’s challenges for the first time. 1decision aims to provide children with the knowledge and skills to lead safe, healthy and happy lives.
