We are really enjoying using 1decision as a school and are finding the resources and workbooks extremely useful. We have been using the Nurture resources to supplement our PSHE lessons and have created a Nurture group which is run at lunch times.

The children love how interactive the lessons are (especially DeeDee) and actively look forward to the lively discussions and role play scenarios. Children definitely seem to be more engaged in their learning as a result. The site has lots of additional links to further resources and websites which are really useful for follow up lessons.

1decision throws up really big questions that prompt intelligent and thoughtful discussion. Allows you to deliver to appropriate emotional maturity. Would struggle to teach PSHE across the board without this resource.

Our children really do love it. Pupil voice tells us that they particularly enjoy the videos and making the right decision. They like to see the video that shows the consequences of making the wrong choice.

We have had a fantastic response from the children whilst using the 1 Decision resources and video clips. The children in school love to see and talk about the consequences of decisions as shown in the videos. The planning and printable worksheets have also been valuable.

We are loving it actually. It makes planning RSE so easy and the resources are fabulous. The children are really engaged with it all.

We have done 3 sessions with 1 decision and 3P love it! It creates really good discussion points and we try to choose topics that is related to issues the class has (eg. relationship issues, manners ect). The videos are really engaging for them too!

1decision offered us a range of brilliant modules to teach our children. The interactive and colourful resources are absolutely wonderful. Along with the Teacher Guidance, we are extremely excited to use the workbooks which are bright, beautifully designed and friendly.

I am currently home-schooling my son Alfie, who is autistic and has ADHD. 1decision has helped me understand Alfie’s way of thinking, as well as being a fun, interactive and educational programme that he can enjoy.

1decision is a great tool to help children on how to behave safely in a range of situations.

1decision is an excellent interactive product which the children really enjoy in our PSHE lessons. The animations are engaging and the videos are both age appropriate and encourage very good discussions between the children.

We currently use the resources in our Year 3 and 5 classes. The children find them engaging and fun and make them think about the important things to keep themselves safe and healthy. The lessons are all inclusive and encourage children to actively consider what they would do in many different everyday situations.

We have recently introduced the 1decision PSHE resources to our pupils who all have significant learning disabilities. There are currently seven modules which cover Key Stages 1 and 2. Each one comes with a separate Scheme of Work which our staff have found most useful. Along with the Teacher Guidance we have been able to use these to implement sequential lessons around the specific theme. The pupils have enjoyed watching the video examples on the website and have been able to identify with the characters and learn how to make ‘good choices’. We have also found the paper copies of the activity workbooks extremely clear and user friendly and these have proven popular with everyone. The Learning Journals are being used as part of our assessment and recording system and this too is already proving valuable. The resources are all of a good quality and very user friendly. The programme and resources would make a very welcome and highly useful addition for any school. We would strongly recommend visiting the website and trying out the resources.

The 1decision programme and resources is a great way of helping children to make safe choices. They learn about the risks in different contexts and then make a choice and can see the consequence of that choice. This helps them to understand that it is important to evaluate risks before taking action. We have been using 1decision for two years now and it has equipped our children to develop their self-regulation skills under guidance. We would like to roll it out across the whole school, as other children would also benefit from it.

At Almond Hill we place a high priority on the PSHCE curriculum. It has been a real benefit to our pupils to be able to explore the 1decision materials. They have found them relevant and engaging and I believe they support vital aspects of a child’s education. Early education of life skills ensure children are well informed to make the right decisions to stay safe. We look forward to KS2 materials being available for our children to use.

Our children have really loved working through the scheme and really enjoy and become excited when they know Deedee is going to come on the screen. This scheme is very informative and easy to use, allowing children to understand and learn in a practical way.

At Green Oak C of E Primary & Nursery School, we are very happy to use the 1decision modules with our children. The video material is professionally put together and relevant to Reception, KS1 and some of KS2. The children love having the opportunity to make a decision at the end and discuss, then see, each possible outcome. Fantastic value for money and complements our PSHE curriculum perfectly.

In our school we pride ourselves on developing a trusting, positive and caring community and for many years have developed this with our values education work. When we were first introduced to 1decision we saw immediately how this resource could support our work. The materials are very engaging for younger learners and support them in making their own choices. The wonderful video clips and booklets and of course the main character Deedee simply ooze tolerance, respect, friendship, cooperation and thankfulness. The children then work independently, or in groups, to further develop these skills and through using the resources alongside everything else we do in school we can truly say we are helping to shape and build or children’s characters in a positive way.
